Little ears

Not much new news today. Adleigh had her hearing screen today and passed in her right ear but not her left. It just means that she has some fluid in her ear. They weren't very concerned about it and said that with preemies it shows up a lot. So after she is discharged we will just go back to get it checked again. Adleigh is still doing great with her feeds and has passed even more through her system so it looks like we are almost home free! The nurse practitioner said it could be Friday at the earliest that she could come home!!!

Liana had less bradys today. I was going to talk to her doctor for this week but he had already left by the time I got to Liana. So tomorrow I will see what the plan is for her food. She is scheduled for another cranial ultrasound next Monday. I am praying that she could come home sometime next week. How about everyone join us in that prayer!

That would be awesome. I'm praying for both of your girls and for you two as well -- it's been so cool to see just how you two have kept your faith through the hard times and God has come through for you. And He's used your girls to minister to so many already. Hopefully, that's just the start of their careers :) Wade and Ferris, you are AMAZING and such an inspiration. I think I might be back this weekend so hopefully I'll get to see you both!

Hi Ferris,
No worries about the hearing screen, okay! I use to be a tech that did those...No Pass is quite common in premies...especially if they are not moving about a lot nor have a really hard sucking reflex yet to clear their ears of fluid. Quite common to get those results. Of all the babies I ever did, I had only one with deafness in both ears that had to have implants. When you go back for a redo, try to make sure she hasn't been laying flat a lot prior to the test. Hugs. Still praying for them.

I am so glad to hear that the girls are close to coming home!! I remember when it got down to counting the days with my daughter...nothing was sweeter than walking out of the hospital with her!!! I will continue to pray for your family and I know those sweet girls will be home where they belong soon!!
