One week

The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me. Your love oh Lord endures forever–do not abandon the works of Your hands.
Psalm 138:8

We left the hospital today. We were there for a week so it was pretty hard for me driving home today without having our two precious girls in the car with us. I got pretty emotional, but Wade was there to strengthen and encourage me and to speak truth into me that our girls will be with us soon and that God is doing something mighty in their lives and ours.

Liana had her brain scan today. It ended up being at 3 in the afternoon and then we had to wait until 9 to get the results back. First, I want to say THANK YOU for your prayers. We have been blown away by all the people that are standing with us in agreement that God has healed our daughters. Liana's scan came back that her brain bleed is starting to resolve. This means that everything is moving in the right direction as the blood is clotting and starting to dissipate. God is healing Liana and using this situation for us to talk to the doctors and nurses about our faith. We are continuing to pray our "sun stand still" prayers that Liana's brain will completely heal and that both girls will come home healthy and sooner than anyone expects. Also, we found out that Liana's heart valve (which we learned is called a PDA) reopened and she is having to go on another dose of the medication that can close it. Once this valve closes the doctors believe she will have a much easier time breathing so this is a very important prayer for Liana.

Adleigh is still trucking along. She is still on her CPAP and on the medication to close her PDA. I got some good touch time with Adleigh today and Wade and I sang to her. We got to see another one of her daily temper tantrums which at this age is a good thing. The fiesty ones have the advantage!

Please continue to pray for both of our girls. We can definitely feel the power of all of your prayers surrounding us and them. Please also pray the Lord will use us as an encouragement to all the other families in the NICU.

You are an amazing mommy. "Veteran" mom that I am, I have so much to learn, and you're teaching me great lessons.

Thanks for sharing this journey, I check daily (or many times daily!) as I pray for your family.

Ferris, I'm Holly's sister, Emily. We've been following you guys and the twins. I was telling my 3 little ones about your girls and they were moved to immediately, in the car, pray for them. They prayed that God would bring your babies home soon and heal them. It was very sweet! Hope to meet you all some day soon.

Here is a great blog that I think would give you some encouragement and strength. Her son was born with his stomach and intestines in his chest. His heart was on the left side and his lungs weren't able to row and form due to the stomach and all being in his chest cavity. The condition is called Congenital Diaphragmatic Herniation (CDH). Her blogs threw her journey are AWESOME!! You may need to go back to the older posts but I assure it is a great testimony to her faith. She was told her son only had a 40% chance of survival if he made it through the pregnancy. The site is www.babydellinger.blogspot.com I have been and will continue to pray for both your girls. I have twin cousins who also had twin to twin and were born at 29 weeks. One weighed 1 lb 3 oz and the other 3 lb 1 oz. I know exactly what you are going through. Keep us informed of how God is working through them!!

Just another reminder that Bill & I are continuing to lift you, Wade, and the girls up in our prayers. Remember that God is good, all the time . . . all the time, God is good! The witness that you both continue to be in the midst of the strife is a constant reminder that the Lord is truly the leader of your lives! The girls are so lucky to have the two of you!

Hey Ferris,
I remember the day Ty and I drove home from the hospital without Lauren. It didn't feel right and I tried not to cry, but did...all the way home. Lauren had a stroke and was in the NICU hooked up to all sorts of tubes and ventillators. I truly feel what you are going through. If you ever need a shoulder, I am here. You are a strong person and God has given you strength you didn't even know you had. You are loved and not alone.

I found out about your sweet girls through Holly's blog. Please know our family will be praying for all of you and for God's hand to move over your girls to demonstrate His glory.

I'll be checking up each day from now on and praying faithfully. It is a privilege to lift up your sweet family.

I don't know you but found your story from a friend. I had twins at 24 weeks and I have one survivor. Please check out preemieblogmoms@yahoogroups.com for support for your micro preemies and they hurdles they will face. I wish I had known about them while I was in the NICU cuz the support would have been a huge blessing. Our God is good all the time!
