Counting Days

I talked to Liana's doctor and he said that she is doing so much better. He thinks she just needed time to get a little bigger and have her muscles be a little stronger. He didn't want to put her on the Enfamil AR because she is doing so well now and it doesn't have some of the nutrients she needs since she is a preemie. But we are just counting days now that she doesn't have bradys. She needs to go 7 days without one that requires stimulation and then we can take her home.

Adleigh will more than likely come home Monday or Tuesday. They decided to wait until she was completely on full feeds to give her the immunizations. That way if she gets a fever it won't mess up her feedings. So she will get those over two days which will be Friday and Saturday. She is still doing really well eating and she is at 38 mls tonight. We have to get to 54 mls for her to be at full feeds. She is getting to the point where she always wants to be held. Whenever we lay her back down she starts crying. Liana is the same way. I will just make it worse cause once they get home I am never going to want to put them down!

That's awesome Ferris. Seems like just yesterday when you were out of town and the doctor said you had to deliver your babies immediately, or they may not make it. You listened to your heart, and to the Lord, and your just a few steps away from bringing them home. Amazing! I must meet these little miracles!

Wonderful news! Get rested up, take a long soak in the tub, and go on a date with Hubby!
Blessings,

I am so glad that you are so close to coming home!!! I agree with Judy...Get some rest and go on a date with hubby!! It may be the last time for a while. And you are right...Once you get them home it will be hard to put them down or be away from them for a minute. My daughter, a 31 weeker, is 16 months now and SPOILED from being held so much. But I refused to lose anymore time with her once she came home!!!

I am so excited for you both, what an extra blessing it will be to have the girls home. As a mom of 5 let me give you a sliver or advice. We have a new baby she was born June 6 and wants to be held as often as possible as well. check out www.blueberriest.com I bought a custom fitted sling from her, and it has been a life saver, of course you can only wear one baby at a time but you can wear one and still have your hands free for the other. I use it for grocery shopping, going to church, and anytime she is just unhappy, I put her in it and she is snau as a bug and so happy to be there. I wish I had one with the other 4 kids too.

I wish you and Wade so many years filled with all the fun and happiness these girls will surely bring you. Your faith is an inspiration. Amy DeVore
